dirvish software package provides Filesystem based backup system using rsync, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dirvish
dirvish is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dirvish package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dirvish *
You will get with dirvish package name, version, architecture and description in a table
